    RNA sequencing, use DNAse treatment?

    Hi,

    we are planning to sequence small RNAs. We have isolated both small and total RNA. Can the presence of genomic DNA negatively affect the lib prep/sequencing? We have not decided on which sequencing technology to use yet, but will probably ligate adaptors, which I assume will favor single stranded RNA?
