negative log color value legend in R

Hi there. I'm new to heatmap.2, and I have a quick question: does anybody here know how to generate a logarithmic color key in R centered at zero?

Also, if anybody knows how to relabel the color legend (so that it's not only labeled "Value" and "Color Key"), that would be very helpful as well. Thank you!

Try something like this:

heatmap( ..., col=colorRampPalette( c("red", "white", "blue" ) )( 100 ), zlim=c(-5,5) )

The color ramp has white in the middle, and the symmetric arguments to zlim ensures that the middle is zero.
