Thanks for locking the 'Software packages for next gen sequence analysis' thread ECO. I guess that was the right thing to do as the wiki is a better place for such dynamic lists of information. Could you edit the first message in the thread to point to the wiki? How about this page:

Do you think we need a forum specifically for the wiki?

It definitely was getting long in the tooth. I just couldn't live with the guilt that half of the members would get an email every time someone posted "thanks" in that thread.

A wiki forum would probably be useful...and I will edit the first post to reflect the Software page link. Thanks again for all your work on the wiki.
