Hi everyone!
I'm currently working with colorspace data on Rattus norvegicus, and i use bfast to process this data. However, i'm having a problem with creating bfast index files. I previously used bfast to process data on A. thaliana, genome size 135 Megabase, and it took less than ten hour to create ten index files using only 2 Gb CPU. Now, i am trying to create bfast index files for R. norvegicus genome, which is approx. 3 Gigabase in size, and though i use 16 Gb of CPU, it is working for more than 24 hours already and still hasn't computed a single .bif file! Here's the command i use for creating index files:
bfast index -f rn5.fa -m 111111111111111111111 -w 14 -i 1 -A 1
does anyone have a clue how to solve this problem? I'd be very greatful.
best regards, Nikolay
