    It's working now. The lattest version of Hmisc 3.12 did not work. I downloaded an earlier version 3.10, now everything worked, and cummeRbund got installed.

    Thanks a lot!

    I suspect there is a version mismatch somewhere. I have R 3.0.2 on ubuntu 13.04 - everything's working fine. I installed it from this ppa.

    I already did. Same error message when I tried to install the 'Hmisc' package.
    The problem is what this error message means.
    Thanks,

  • Problem in installing cummeRbund, Hmisc dependency?

    Hi,
    I am new to this community.
    I am trying to install cummeRbund, and have encountered a number of problems. I read some of the previous threads, installed DBI and RSQLite, have R-2.15.0 intalled in my Ubunto Linux machine. So now when I tried to installed cummeRbund, the 1st error message was that I didn't have the 'Hmisc' package which cummeRbund depends. Then I tried to install Hmisc "Hmisc_3.12-2.tar.gz", here is the problem I really could not solve by my own:

    Error : 'globalVariables' is not an exported object from 'namespace:utils';
    Error : unable to load R code in package ‘Hmisc’;
    ERROR: lazy loading failed for package ‘Hmisc’

    Any suggestion what I should do?

    Thanks,
    Joan
