We want to encourage our community members to share their knowledge and help each other out by answering questions related to sequencing technologies, genomics, and bioinformatics. Lists of bioinformatics tools, with versions

Is there anywhere else to look for the most up-to-date bioinformatics tools than
<a href="http://seqanswers.com/wiki/Software/list">SEQwiki software list</a> ?

I am wondering if there is anywhere else to look for the newest tools besides searching the latest pre-preprints and newly released papers for the functionality you want and the seqanswers wiki.

Also, the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_sequence_alignment_software">Wikipedia List of sequence alignment software</a> article has dates of initial release and last version update but isn't as comprehensive.
