Hi,
I am analyzing RNA-Seq data in a TopHat/Cufflinks/CummeRbund pipeline. In the CummeRbund manual, it is recommended that researchers check for overdispersion for each sample as a quality control. How does one tell if a sample is overdispersed? Is there a statistical test that can quantify overdispersion?
I have attached some of my dispersion plots for gene expression. Is there any way to tell if they are overdispersed?
