  • vcf-isec

    Hello,

I understand with vcf-isec you can merge samples were you can output positions present in this many (=), this many or more (+), or this many or fewer (-) files. Is there a program out there where I can have a range.

Ex: I have 40 vcf files. I want at least 10 to at most 30. So it would be range of 10-30

I hope I explained this well enough for everyone to understand.

    Thanks,
    Nino

    Nino,

    Wouldn't it be trival to run vcf-isec +10 rawdata.vcf > cutoff10.vcf then vcf-isec -30 cutoff10.vcf > Trimmed.vcf?

      Hey Don,

If it was I would have done that already but it isn't unfortunately. When using vcf-isec you have to give it more then one file as an argument so it can do the intersection between the files. It cannot be done with a single file.
