SEQanswers June Challenge Has Begun!

The competition has begun! We're giving away a $50 Amazon gift card to the member who answers the most questions on our site during the month. We want to encourage our community members to share their knowledge and help each other out by answering questions related to sequencing technologies, genomics, and bioinformatics. The competition is open to all members of the site, and the winner will be announced at the beginning of July. Best of luck!

  • iBioGuide: A FREE dedicated life-sciences search engine

Advaita Bioinformatics just released its latest web application called iBioGuide. Users can browse the Advaita Knowledge Base of over 100 million relationships between genes, pathways, ontology terms, diseases, microRNAs, references, and more. Advaita's knowledge base is also used in its flagship application, iPathwayGuide.

iBioGuide is 100% FREE with no login required. With a single query, find all the relationships between all the biological entities in our knowledge base. Future releases may include the ability to upload and save gene sets for simple enrichment analysis and more.

Example 1: You are interested in identifying the pathways associated with the CDK4 gene. Enter the gene symbol and find a list of related pathways. Exploring any one of the pathways allows you to see the genes that interact with CDK4 and model the miRNA and drug targets directly on the pathway along with relevant references.

Example 2: You are interested in learning about the regulation of cell cycle process. Enter this as your search term and discover the various entities related to this process. Exploring one of the GO terms, you quickly identify the genes annotated to the process and the miRNAs and drugs that target these genes and possibly this processes.
