  • Program Manager Position at OICR

    Position: Program Manager
    Site: MaRS Centre, Toronto
    Department: Informatics and Bio-computing
    Reports To: Program Director
    Salary: Commensurate with level of experience
    Hours: 35 hours per week
    Status: Permanent, Full-Time



    OICR seeks a strong Program Manager to assist the Director of the Informatics and Bio-Computing Program in the management of a broad range of research and operational activities within the Program. Major responsibilities include coordinating collaborations with other internal and externally based OICR Programs, managing research deliverables and milestones, assisting in the development of tactical and strategic plans, and ensuring that the Program is in compliance with all relevant ethical and regulatory policies.

    The Program Manager is expected to take a leadership role in the identification of new research opportunities and the development of new collaborative projects. Within the Informatics and Bio-Computing Program, the Program Manager will interact mainly with the Director, Associate Directors, Principal Investigators, as well as scientific and administrative staff. This role will also interact frequently with the Head of Research Operations, other Program Managers at OICR and across the province, and OICR personnel in administrative functions such as finance, human resources, facilities, sponsored awards, grants and awards, procurement, and communications.
