Certified Service Provider (CSP): Is it worth it?

As the title implies I was wondering if attaining a Certified Service Provider status is worth the cost? I know Illumina charges $10k for the first platform and then $5k for each additional one thereafter. From my experience with Illumina, there is information they teach you during the CSP training that we were not taught otherwise.
Additionally, with the price of exomes plummeting in the whole-genome era, will CSP designations with companies like Agilent be worthwhile?

With Illumina's CSP it used to be that joining also gave you reagent discounts that would offset the cost of the program. Is that still the case?
