  • Illumina Pricing Schemes

    Hey sequencing hive mind,
We are running a small, non-commercial NGS core (1x MiSeq, 1x NextSeq) with a weekly throughput of ~200 samples, almost entirely standard Illumina Nextera XT library prep.
We have just started operation in February this year and are currently paying the full list price on Illumina consumables (library prep, indexing kits, flow cells).

My question is: Does anyone have experience in terms of price negotiations with Illumina?
At the moment I am not sure how to initiate negotiations because I don’t know what a good starting point would be.

    Thanks a ton!

As starting point you can ask for 25% off the list price and hope to settle on 10-15%.

Discounting may also be dependent on your "purchase capacity" over a year or so. You may need to start small and then renegotiate the discount annually.

Genetic Variation in Immunogenetics and Antibody Diversity
        by seqadmin

The field of immunogenetics explores how genetic variations influence immune responses and susceptibility to disease. In a recent SEQanswers webinar, Oscar Rodriguez, Ph.D., Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Louisville, and Ruben Martínez Barricarte, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Medicine at Vanderbilt University, shared recent advancements in immunogenetics. This article discusses their research on genetic variation in antibody loci, antibody production processes,...
