  • #canu error, #failed partition, #reads

    Hellow Everyone,
I am currently engaged in the assembly process of Atractomorpha species using raw PacBio reads. The data from two distinct species have been subjected to assembly. Initially, I employed Fastqc to assess data quality. Subsequently, I initiated the assembly procedure on Linux using Canu with the specified command. However, an obstacle has emerged in the form of an error message indicating that

    ''ERROR:
ERROR: Failed with exit code 1. (rc=256)
    ERROR:
Don't panic, but a mostly harmless error occurred and canu failed.

    Disk space available: 2921.312 GB
Last 50 lines of the relevant log file (/home/keyilong/mitogenome/Atractomorpha_Sinensis/assembly/unitigging/Atractomorpha_Sinensis.utgStore/partitionedReads.err):

AS_UTL_symlink()-- Failed to make link '/home/keyilong/mitogenome/Atractomorpha_Sinensis/assembly/unitigging/Atractomorpha_Sinensis.utgStore/partitionedReads.gkpStore/info' pointing to file '/home/keyilong/mitogenome/Atractomorpha_Sinensis/assembly/unitigging/Atractomorpha_Sinensis.gkpStore/info': File exists

Canu failed with the message 'failed to partition the reads''.
I am seeking guidance on how to address this issue. I kindly request experienced professionals to offer their valuable insights and suggestions.
