Experimental method for determination of GC content of Genome

Can any body help me with any experimental method for determining GC content of a draft and complete bacterial genome beside using bioinformatics tools

I think the obvious experimental method, in my opinion, is to sequence the DNA and use bioinformatics tools.

In EMBOSS, there is a tool called geecee.

I created a Python script called gc-percentage.py

just save the content to gc-percentage.py and

./gc-percentage.py genome.fasta > genome.gc
