    Ancient DNA Samples

    Hi All,
Hopefully I will be doing some GS Junior runs on some ancient DNA samples over the next few months. The DNA is being extracted from some bone samples and the plan is to basically ligate the rapid library adaptors onto anything and everything which is present to be then loaded onto the sequencer.

Has anybody had any experience with ancient DNA samples which may help before I get started?

I did find an article about optimising the library prep for small amounts of template which seems helpful.

Any advice or tips (or warnings!) would be great.
