You fooled me with the iPhone. Didn't they at one time say it would be shipping with an iPod?

OK, I am boring: how about IT? Spoken in capitalized. Stands for Ion Torrent (of course) and since IT is a machine then the pronoun is appropriate. Talk about the lab could include phrases such as:

              IT needs more reagents.
IT is going to be hard at work today.
IT had a tummy-ache and barfed all over its chip.

Anagrams do not do much. The only on I liked was "Rotten Iron" which really does not say much about the machine. So IT it is.

I think Ian is a nice name for it.

Unfortunately we're waiting for a centrifuge so we can get cracking ...

When I saw the brochure for the first time, the iPod caught my attention. What is it used for?
What kind of especial centrifuge do you need for it? Our Life Tech representative doesn´t have all the details for it yet.
We are currently writing a grant to buy one of these babies, so any info about it will be welcome.
                          Thanks

the post emulsion enrichment is tedious but the protocol supplied is worse. Make sure you get the dilution right for the emulsion. It's not well described in the protocol but it's the critical point.
Automation is on it's way and will make a massive difference to enrichment.

                              More tedious than for 454?

                                by seqadmin

At the intersection of cytogenetics and genomics lies the exciting field of cytogenomics. It focuses on studying chromosomes at a molecular scale, involving techniques that analyze either the whole genome or particular DNA sequences to examine variations in structure and behavior at the chromosomal or subchromosomal level. By integrating cytogenetic techniques with genomic analysis, researchers can effectively investigate chromosomal abnormalities related to diseases, particularly...

                                by seqadmin

Cancer research has been transformed through numerous molecular techniques, with RNA sequencing (RNA-seq) playing a crucial role in understanding the complexity of the disease. Maša Ivin, Ph.D., Scientific Writer at Lexogen, and Yvonne Goepel Ph.D., Product Manager at Lexogen, remarked that “The high-throughput nature of RNA-seq allows for rapid profiling and deep exploration of the transcriptome.” They emphasized its indispensable role in cancer research, aiding in biomarker...
