Had a weird one today. Our console computer gave up the ghost some months back and was replaced by Applied Biosystems. Today, the instrument was restarted, but refused to go to green -- stuck at solid yellow. Also the console computer kept showing network connectivity interruptions on the NIC attached to the 3730XL.
I won't go through our trouble shooting. Turns out the 3730User account on the instrument's password had expired. When starting up, the instrument connects to the account. Since it could not login, it stayed at yellow, but continued to attempt login, reconnecting periodically.
An ABI FSE gave us the fix over the phone.
