Hello all,
I have currently found out a particular enzyme coding sequence. And I want to know which superfamily it is belonging to before further investigation.
I know SFLD (http://sfld.rbvi.ucsf.edu/django/) already built up a database for some enzyme superfamilies, and the structure and function relationships could be visualize by the software cytoscape.
However, I would like to know if there is any method to mix my enzyme sequence with the database, so that I can visualize my enzyme inside a cloud of superfamilies from SFLD and quickly determine which superfamilies it is belonging to.
I know BLAST may be helpful in doing the alignment, but the structure and function relationship is much more reliable in determining superfamilies.
Please help if you know how to do it. Thanks
