Does anybody research genetics map?
I have two genetics maps of the same species.
I combine the markers of two maps together and import the Joinmap v4.1 to group a new genetics map. However, the markers from two maps are still separate when the LOD value is higher than 5.
Why the markers from two genetics maps can not combine ?
And anybody is familiar with Joinmap v4.1?What is the different between regression mapping algorithm and maximum likehood(ML) mapping algorithm? Because the genetics distance is so big(~30000cM) when using the ML mapping algorithm.
