Hello! This is my first post to SeqAnswers, but I have perused the forums before, so before I start describing my problem, hello to this fantastic community....Last edited by msanthropologist; 12-17-2024, 09:45 AM. -
Illumina (NovaSeq 6000) cluster registration?
Hi folks,
I'm new here, and I'm in the process of preparing a PCR-generated amplicon sequencing library (composed of many samples) that will... -
sequencing 3 taxa (fungi, bacteria and archaea) together in one run on MiSeq
A beginner user of sequencing work here.
I am going to run 100 samples on Miseq to look at the soil microbial communities (for bacteria, archaea... -
Large Library On Multiplexed Run
Hey all,
I'm currently running highly multiplexed runs on a Nextseq 550 and I've come into the problem where a library submitted to me... -
Minion sequencing
Hi all,
I have a very basic question. We have ±10 samples that we would like to sequence using MinION. These are PCR amplicons that we... -
Question on multiplexing - long reads
Hi All
So I have 2-3 number of 2MB bacterial genome and two plasmids of 17 kb each length. I am looking at the feasilbility of multiplexing... -
Illumina TruSeq index
I’m going to prepare a sequencing library based on Illumina TruSeq. The protocol my experiment is based on uses single-end sequencing, but a colleague... -
MiSeq Pooling\multiplexing 240 samples using Nextera v2 Index
Hi everyone,
I am following Illumina's 16S protocol for sequencing and I use Nextera XT Index v2 adapters kit. I do my runs on MiSeq using... -

Hello SEQanswers
My name is Kurt Lamour and I run a company (Floodlight Genomics) that provides a new low cost option for targeted genetic sequencing... -
Using custom MID labeled primers in conjunction with TruSeq kit for multiplexing
I would like to sequence 384 small amplicon samples on a single MiSeq run. The amplicons are 238 bp without primers. I had an idea of using primers tagged... -
Best alternative for Nextera Indices for multiple amplicon resequencing experiment ?
Hi all,
after using the 96 plex double indexing kit (8 X 12 indices) of Illumina for 16s studies, we now apply this for other amplicon... -
Nextera XT fragment size and MiSeq v3 read length clashing ?
Hi all,
I am planning a bacterial genome sequencing project (5 Mb) for around 80 samples to get good coverage. As the input material is... -
Is 12.5M reads enough for transcript discovery in bacteria?
Hello SeqAnswers and thanks for your time.
I have a question about RNA-seq with sensitivity in mind. According to Genohub, 30+ M reads are...Last edited by Matt.Ralston; 03-30-2014, 12:51 PM. -
Why divide the lane in sequencing?
Is there the important reason when sequencing the genome in some lane?
For example, BGI sequencing data has raw data with some lane.... -
