I am confused about how NCBI database stores the paired-end data.
for example in this page:
This sample is sequenced in paired-end way but only one file in there. I read the help: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK54984/
It says 'Reads that are mate pairs are concatenated into a single monolithic “spot” sequence'. So it seems that they integrate the forward and backward into one file. But I don't know which part of the file is forward and which one is backward.
