HELP,why consider reads with 5' adaptor as contaminants?

Hi,everyone.
I got a report about small RNA analysis.It is a Solexa sequencing results.Every read is 35 nt.
It first filter reads without 3' adaptor and then filter reads with 5' adaptor.
Can anybody explain it?Why keep 3' but leave 5'?
