Hi,
I recently started using IDBA-UD assembler. I am using FASTQ sequences from illumina as input. First, I used fq2fa to convert fq sequences to a single fasta file using following commands,
bin/fq2fa --merge --filter read_1.fq read_2.fq read.fa
Then, I executed the read.fa file using,
bin/idba_ud -r read.fa -o directoryname
The script runs till kmer 60 and does nothing after that. Neither it gives an error nor stops. It just hangs there with no progress. I tried to rerun it 3 times and every time it repeats the same pattern.
Can someone please help me solve this problem.
