  • libpng for j browse

    I have a trouble about libpng for J browse. I use MacOSX Lion.
    Although I guess that trouble is caused by path setting, I can not solve it.
    Please help me.

    When I install J browse, I do
    Code:
    $ ./setup.sh
    Then I got a error like....
    Code:
    -n Building and installing legacy wiggle format support (superseded by BigWig tracks) ...
     failed. See setup.log file for error messages. If you really need wig-to-json.pl (most users don't), make sure libpng development libraries and header files are installed and try running setup.sh again.
    I looked at a setup.log. This said..
    Code:
    libpng warning: Application built with libpng-1.6.12 but running with 1.5.18
    [write_png_file] png_create_write_struct failed
    Flowing a page, http://gmod.org/wiki/JBrowse_Configu..._a_New_JBrowse,
    I did the next command in /jbrowse/src/wig2png.
    Code:
    $ ./configure CXXFLAGS=-I/usr/X11/include/ LDFLAGS=-L/usr/X11/lib
    On my Mac, there are many libpng folders and files (ex. usr/local, opt/local, usr/X11/....).

    How can I solve this error? Please give me suggestions.

    Following command solved the error.

    $ bin/cpanm -l extlib --installdeps .

    Thanks,

      Essential Discoveries and Tools in Epitranscriptomics
      by seqadmin

      The field of epigenetics has traditionally concentrated more on DNA and how changes like methylation and phosphorylation of histones impact gene expression and regulation. However, our increased understanding of RNA modifications and their importance in cellular processes has led to a rise in epitranscriptomics research. “Epitranscriptomics brings together the concepts of epigenetics and gene expression,” explained Adrien Leger, PhD, Principal Research Scientist...

      Current Approaches to Protein Sequencing
      by seqadmin

      Proteins are often described as the workhorses of the cell, and identifying their sequences is key to understanding their role in biological processes and disease. Currently, the most common technique used to determine protein sequences is mass spectrometry. While still a valuable tool, mass spectrometry faces several limitations and requires a highly experienced scientist familiar with the equipment to operate it. Additionally, other proteomic methods, like affinity assays, are constrained...
