    seqmonk - java memory error

    Hi
    I have seqmonk installed on a linux system

    $ java -version
    java version "1.7.0_65"
    OpenJDK Runtime Environment (IcedTea 2.5.1) (7u65-2.5.1-4ubuntu1~0.14.04.2)
    OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 24.65-b04, mixed mode)

    I receive the following error (memory) when starting seqmonk:
    $ seqmonk
    Memory ceiling is 10240
    Raw physical memory is 128910
    Correcting for VM actual requested allocation for 10240 is 11520

    Any suggestions?

    Data variability is still an issue in sequencing technologies despite the advances in reproducibility and accuracy of these platforms. But the problem does not originate in the sequencing itself, but in the previous steps, before the sample reaches the sequencer.

    The first step is collection, followed by preservation and sample preparation for analysis. Most scientists overlook those steps, but not being careful might just be skewing the experiment’s results.
