Use of ABySS and TransABySS for XSQ format

As I have already posted a thread regarding compatible tools for denovo transcriptome assembly using SOLiD XSQ format, we were thinking of using ABySS and TransABySS for this purpose, would it be a good idea, are there any pros and cons related to our approach, please give me an advice.
