how to evaluate raw data

Hey, i'm a layman in Bioinformatics. Our lab have completed a project of mRNA-sequencing on illumina platform and obtained about 30 millions 150bp-200bp reads. The sample is a mouse cell line.
i have some questions. for example,how to evaluate the raw data? is there any way to check the qulity of raw data, good or bad?

you might try fastQC which does a quality control on raw illumina data;
