  • Interactive Genomic Conference in Edinburgh, UK

Genomic Medicine 2018 Edinburgh takes place at the Radisson Blu on 18th & 19th April 2018 and features presentations by:

    Prof Tim Aitman (Edinburgh)
    Prof Zofia Miedzybrodzka (Aberdeen)
    Prof Geoff Barton (Dundee)
    Prof Darren Monckton (Glasgow)
    Dr Rachel Butler MBA (Cardiff)
    Dr Sean Ennis (Dublin)
    Prof James Allan (Newcastle)
    Prof Constanze Bonifer (Birmingham)
    Dr Deborah Morris-Rosendahl (London)
and many more Genomic opinion leaders....

I've only mentioned some of the speakers, but you can check the Genomic Medicine 2018 Edinburgh conference website to see the complete list of speakers!

This conference takes place annually in the north of the UK and has moved from Glasgow to Edinburgh this year - it's organised in partnership with:

    South East Scotland Genetic Service,
    Edinburgh Genomics,
    Edinburgh Clinical Research Facility,
MRC Human Genetics Unit (University of Edinburgh)
Polyomics at the University of Glasgow.

This means you will not only get to meet quite a few genomics professionals under one roof but also take part in meaningful discussions with them through dedicated networking sessions for scientists.

Along with excellence in genomics science, networking is a prioritized focus area for this conference - there will be multiple opportunities for all delegates to interact and network with each other including a debate between all delegates and a panel about bottlenecks in Genomics and NGS workflows.

Join us for a Genomic event where you can get to meet others and actually discuss relevant genomic issues with scientists, sponsors and speakers as well as hearing excellent presentations by Genomic opinion leaders!

Get in touch with us if you want to present an academic poster or if you have any other questions in relation to attending this event.

    Hope to see you there!

Recent Advances in Sequencing Analysis Tools
    by seqadmin

The sequencing world is rapidly changing due to declining costs, enhanced accuracies, and the advent of newer, cutting-edge instruments. Equally important to these developments are improvements in sequencing analysis, a process that converts vast amounts of raw data into a comprehensible and meaningful form. This complex task requires expertise and the right analysis tools. In this article, we highlight the progress and innovation in sequencing analysis by reviewing several of the...

Essential Discoveries and Tools in Epitranscriptomics
    by seqadmin

The field of epigenetics has traditionally concentrated more on DNA and how changes like methylation and phosphorylation of histones impact gene expression and regulation. However, our increased understanding of RNA modifications and their importance in cellular processes has led to a rise in epitranscriptomics research. “Epitranscriptomics brings together the concepts of epigenetics and gene expression,” explained Adrien Leger, PhD, Principal Research Scientist...
