Some local academic and industry folks have set up a sequencing interest group via Meetup.com - http://www.meetup.com/Seattle-Sequencing-Meetup/ . The idea is to create a group of people interested in next gen sequencing and data processing who will interact about once a month or two (presently scheduled for every other month) to listen to short talks and to network with each other. Both academic and industry folks are invited. Sign up at http://www.meetup.com/Seattle-Sequencing-Meetup/ . Also pass this on to others you know who might be interested in joining. The first meeting will be Thurs May 12 6-8PM.
