  • Greetings from Kansas City

    Hello everyone,

My name is Brandon Dinwiddie and I'm currently working as a bioinformatician in a laboratory at UMKC (University of Missouri - Kansas City). I graduated from my undergrad here at UMKC in May with a B.S. in Biology and B.A. in Chemistry and Psychology. I'm not entirely sure if this is the line of work I want to go into, I wanted to have more research experience under my belt before I made the decision of whether to go Ph.D. Biology or into a medical graduate program.

I have no previous bioinformatic experience, only computer experience and even now I'm feeling those might have not been a good measurement of my bioinformatics capabilities, but I'd like to think I'm picking it up at a fairly decent rate.

I'm not sure what else to mention, but I look forward to interacting with members of the forums. I know I'll certainly be asking my fair share of questions and I'm slowly starting to help some of my fellow bioinformaticians. If you have any questions for me feel free to ask. I'm usually pretty friendly.

    Cheers,
    Brandon
