  • Computational Biologist

The Genome Analysis and Informatics Technology (GAIT) Center at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis is seeking Computational Biologists. Recent advances in DNA sequencing technology promise to usher in a new era of personalized medicine. The current bottleneck is the lack of adequate algorithms and expertise to handle the large amounts of data being generated. The GAIT center seeks to hire individuals to analyze DNA sequencing data in collaboration with biologists and physicians. The ideal candidate has a degree in computer science, biomedical engineering, or biology, is fluent in one or more of the following languages: C, C++, Java, Python, or Ruby, and has taken at least one undergraduate level Genetics class. Please apply to Seth Crosby, scrosby at watson dot wustl dot edu.
