  • Informatics Software Support Specialist - University of Minnesota

    Full job posting
    The University of Minnesota Supercomputing Institute (MSI) seeks to hire a user support systems programmer/informatics analyst. This position has the primary responsibility to work with MSI staff on the full range of Informatics software operational needs of the Institute. This includes installation, documentation, update, and testing informatics software, and employing the methods and tools in use at the Institute for general application software. This position will contribute to the development, deployment, and maintenance of custom-built tools to support Informatics analytical needs, as well as supporting the day-to-day operations of Informatics frameworks at the institute (currently Galaxy and CLC Bio). Participation in help ticket resolution, as they pertain to Informatics software, and participation in Institute meetings, not necessarily confined to the Informatics group as necessary, will also be a component of this position. This position operates as part of a team and will contribute to documentation and dissemination initiatives at the Institute in the area of Informatics.
