  • Full-time staff bioinformatics position, University of Minnesota Genomics Center

We seek a bioinformatician with computational and analytical skills to join the University of Minnesota Genomics Center (UMGC). The UMGC provides a wide range of innovative genomic services to UMN and external researchers, with a particular focus on next-generation sequencing. The UMGC operates a fleet of advanced sequencing instruments, including Illumina HiSeq and MiSeq sequencers, a PacBio Sequel sequencer, the 10X Chromium system, and the Fluidigm C1 single-cell system. Through a partnership with the University of Minnesota Supercomputing Institute (MSI), the UMGC's informatics infrastructure is supported by MSI's HPC compute clusters, high-performance storage platforms, and cloud-computing infrastructure. This position in our Informatics group will support the Operations group in providing genomics services to customers, and work with the R&D group to push the limits of the UMGCs instrumentation and put into production the latest advances in sequencing technology.

Required (Minimum) Qualifications: Position requires BA/BS and two years of related experience or a combination of education and work experience to equal six years.
