Genome Biology Postdoctoral/Research Fellows (up to 3 positions)
The ANU's genomic strategies and expertise has positioned it as a key partner in a number of national and international genomics / phenomics research consortia. The ANU is underpinning this excellence in genomic biology by establishing a Genome Discovery Unit (GDU) for the analysis of high throughput sequencing data.
Academic positions are being created within the GDU to work with ANU life science researchers on a range of projects that involve the analysis of high throughput sequence data. Projects include: investigation of gene expression network response to environmental perturbation, analysis of inducible gene expression in immune cells, investigation how chromatin structure contributes to transcript regulation during development, discovery of disease-related genetic variation.
The Genome Biology Postdoctoral/Research Fellows need excellent genomic data analysis and programming skills, preferably with experience in analysing high throughput DNA sequence data, and a successful track record in working collaboratively with a team of researchers and technical specialists to solve important biological problems through the application of bioinformatics.
Salary range: AUD$56,113 - $88,212
