  • Improved Quantitation with Directional RNA-Seq

Most researchers listed improved quantitation as one of the most critical issues with RNA-seq. Bioo Scientific has listened and launched the patent pending NEXTflex™ Rapid Directional qRNA-Seq™ Kit which incorporates Molecular Indexes™ to allow researchers to easily distinguish amplified copies of their transcripts from actual duplicated transcripts found in the cell. The NEXTflex Rapid Directional qRNA-Seq Kit utilizes a dUTP-based protocol to obtain "stranded" information which identifies the specific DNA strands a given RNA transcript was derived from.

For more information read our white paper written in collaboration with Cellular Research, which demonstrates how incorporating Molecular Indexes can improve the quantitation of transcriptome analysis.

More information about using Molecular Indexes™ to improve RNA-Seq quantitation can also be read in this recent publication:

Essential Discoveries and Tools in Epitranscriptomics
    by seqadmin

The field of epigenetics has traditionally concentrated more on DNA and how changes like methylation and phosphorylation of histones impact gene expression and regulation. However, our increased understanding of RNA modifications and their importance in cellular processes has led to a rise in epitranscriptomics research. “Epitranscriptomics brings together the concepts of epigenetics and gene expression,” explained Adrien Leger, PhD, Principal Research Scientist...
