Hi all,
I'm a graduate student and will be proceeding soon with a project on a metagenome and really need some more training in methods of analysis.
I've got a basic grasp of Python and some experience with genomic data, but want something comprehensive to give me a sense of what is possible and what are some pitfalls I should avoid.
I've found some courses, and am leading towards the JGI metagenomics workshop (http://www.jgi.doe.gov/meetings/mgm/) and would have really liked this one in the UK if I had signed up before the deadline (http://www.ebi.ac.uk/training/course...-analysis-2014). Has anyone taken these courses? Any reviews and/or advice for me in this situation?
Thanks in advance for your help!
