    password to decrypt files in dbgap

    hi,
    i saw that dbgap (authorized) reorgenized the files in the cancer depatmrnt (about time). But when i'm downloading a file they don't ask me for a password they just let me download the decrypted file and i have no idea how to decrypt it. Any solutions?

    The person who was approved for dbgap (PI) is the one who creates download password. Ask him/her.

      i tried the login password it doesn't work. before the change i enterd the password beford downloading the file but now the fields for entering the password disapeared

        Love this - good data definitely starts from good input, and poor input can only give relatively poor data. I particularly like the mention of Nanodrop/absorbance based methods for quantification. It's such a toss up if you'll get an accurate reading or what amounts to a randomly generated number, and a lot of library/sequencing related issues can be traced back to poor quant.
