Somehow advertising for your new community on this community is obnoxious. But at least you have a no plagarism policy now!

ECO sorry if it sounds like an advertisement, it is not in fact and it is not written for that aim,
Actually every website (biostar in mind) are not allowing doing annnoucement, I say annoucement not advertisement which are very different, the problem is that if every website is blocking every attempt to make people aware of important resources, that could be considered as blocking knowledge to be shared and this is what we all playing against.
Anyway, Again my message was just to make people aware of our new feature and we are making all our best to serve the community, no matter where and how.

      Thank you for your answer.

You still don't have link attribution to your blatant copy-paste of the most visited thread on this community: http://biocoders.net/2011/06/28/soft...ence-analysis/

...and I see you're doing the same thing at biostar.

Seriously, have you no shame/netiquette?! Good luck with your new site!

Free touch of wickedness, review your last reply a,d read the post you mentioned I cited seqanswers.com at the end of the post. Anyway as I felt no encouragement from the website admin, by respect I removed the thread but no way to delete it. Again, try to bear with people trying to change things and bring a + to the community instead of throwing unfounded accusations on people, we all have our bad days and ot looks like you just got one. Keep cool

Cite != Link. And I suspect you know and understand that difference. If not, read up on Google's PageRank algorithm.

And if you don't understand the issue I have (and that Biostar will likely have) with advertising your community in another community, then there really is no need to discuss things further. Let's take the rest of this to PMs, as I see you've already done!

Cancer Drug Resistance: The Lingering Barrier to Rising Survival
              by SEQadmin2

Cancer survival rates have significantly increased in the last few decades in the United States, reaching a combined 70% 5-year survival rate by 2021. Behind this number, there are years of research to find new therapies, drug targets, and early detection methods. But there is one core challenge that keeps slowing down these advances, and it’s about drug resistance.

There is no single reason why many patients don’t respond to treatment as expected. Cancer is...

Reply to Nine Things a Sample Prep Scientist Thinks About Before Sequencing
              by GATTACAT
Love this - good data definitely starts from good input, and poor input can only give relatively poor data. I particularly like the mention of Nanodrop/absorbance based methods for quantification. It's such a toss up if you'll get an accurate reading or what amounts to a randomly generated number, and a lot of library/sequencing related issues can be traced back to poor quant.

Nine Things a Sample Prep Scientist Thinks About Before Sequencing
              by SEQadmin2

I’m not a sequencing expert. I’m a purification scientist who uses NGS to evaluate workflows my group develops. With this perspective, we think about the sample first and the NGS workflow second. The sequencer is an exceptionally honest reporter, but it can only report on what you give it, so whether you get clean, interpretable data from an NGS workflow is largely determined before you begin.

Here are nine questions we think about, in roughly the order they matter, before...
