  • sanger error probabilities

    Hey guys,

is there any chance to get a table where all error probs. for a call is listed. Thus there is table which shows in the first column "!" for example and in the second column "0.8". Which means that the position attached to the letter "!" is incorrectly called with 80% prob.?

    Hope it is understandable.

I got a table for the illumina scores but can't find anything for the sanger scores.

    Cheers Philip

Are you talking about the different ASCII encodings for quality scores, and in particular the Sanger FASTQ encoding? Try reading these and see if it is any clearer:

      hey,

thanks for the reply. In particular i am just looking for a table where for every ascii character an error probability is assigned.
So i mean where for every ascii character, thus for every phred score the probability is calculated and shown, somewhat like

char: phred probability to be wrong
      "j" 41 7,359 x 10^-5

      best

Investigating the Gut Microbiome Through Diet and Spatial Biology
            by seqadmin

The human gut contains trillions of microorganisms that impact digestion, immune functions, and overall health1. Despite major breakthroughs, we’re only beginning to understand the full extent of the microbiome’s influence on health and disease. Advances in next-generation sequencing and spatial biology have opened new windows into this complex environment, yet many questions remain. This article highlights two recent studies exploring how diet influences microbial...
