    Bfc/vfc c/c++ api

    Hi,

    I'm building a pipeline to process Illumina sequences. Part of the pipeline will be variant filtering which will have as input and output VCF files.

    Is there a documented API for VCF and BCF files?

      VCF/BCF C++ library

      I am also looking for a liberally licensed vcf/bcf c++ library I can use to parse vcf/bcf files. The solution provided by vcflib is excellent, but does not seem to support BCF. Have any solutions cropped up since this thread was originally started?

          I'm planning on adding BCF support to vcflib. Patches are welcome!
