Trying to use SRA; don't want to download entire sra files (fastq), just sampling. Some filter strings work; others don't. Can't get an answer as to how to encode strings other than they are 2 or 4 bit encoded...anyone know how to specify, for example, "CACG[anything]N" where N is really the basecall?

The first step is collection, followed by preservation and sample preparation for analysis. Most scientists overlook those steps, but not being careful might just be skewing the experiment’s results.
