Advice on how to implement a keyword search (of a (blast) database)

    Hi,

I'm wondering if someone could give me some tips on how to implement this.

I have set up a simple wwwblast search engine with appropriately formated databases for blastn etc.
I also want to implement a feature which allows one to type in a keyword to extract the sequences annotated with this keyword (i.e. gene/feature search), just like what many database sites have. The point is to enable this through a GUI/webpage interface.
My database sequences are already annotated with a simple description in the header.

    I don't think www-blast has a feature which does a descriptor search.
Is there a software that does this?
Can I write a 'wrapper' to implement a e.g. grep search, and put it on the www-blast front page or something to that effect - if so how do i go about doing this?
I don't need anything fancy, but just having this functionality would help.

If someone could even just give me some keywords to google, that would help as I don't know where to start at the moment.

    Many thanks

Multiomic Liquid Biopsy: What DNA/RNA Panels Reveal That DNA Alone Can’t
    by SEQadmin2

Tumors contain complex mixtures of cell populations that evolve in response to treatment and host-specific factors. Tissue biopsies provide only static snapshots of a tumor’s state. But what if we could follow that evolution over time using a minimally invasive technique?

Liquid biopsies can detect tumor-derived material circulating in the bloodstream, providing a way to study treatment response, detect emerging resistance, and discover new biomarkers. Circulating

New Genomics Technologies Take Aim at Long-Standing Limits
    by SEQadmin2

Researchers using sequencing and genomics tools often have to make trade-offs. They can choose between speed or scale, short reads or long-range information, or targeted panels or a view of the whole transcriptome. New technologies that have been released this year are built to address those tough choices.

We asked six companies the same four questions to learn about their latest products. The new technologies bring a lot to the table, including rethinking sequencing
