  • velvet running error

    Dear all,

I think I have installed the velvet successfully, because it is OK several days ago.

However, when I run the velvet today, I find there always an error like this:

    /diag/software/velvet_1.2.03/./velveth: /lib64/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.7' not found (required by /diag/software/velvet_1.2.03/./velveth)

Can anyone give me some suggestions about how to deal with it?

    Thanks!

Presumably, your system administrator installed a new tool chain.

You can try to re-compile with the new tool chain.

If you are using a super computer, you usually need to load compilers and libraries first with the module command.

This error is not specific to Velvet, but is rather just a symbol that is not found at run time.

For example, if you type this command:

    PHP Code:
    ldd /diag/software/velvet_1.2.03/velveth
You will see that some libraries are unmatched.

Investigating the Gut Microbiome Through Diet and Spatial Biology
      by seqadmin

The human gut contains trillions of microorganisms that impact digestion, immune functions, and overall health1. Despite major breakthroughs, we’re only beginning to understand the full extent of the microbiome’s influence on health and disease. Advances in next-generation sequencing and spatial biology have opened new windows into this complex environment, yet many questions remain. This article highlights two recent studies exploring how diet influences microbial...
