Buffer overflow when aligning paired-end reads with BWA

Greetings folks. I'm trying an alignment of paired-end reads with bwa, and the program is crashing with a buffer overflow error. Here is the readout:

I'm not sure what this means, and I hope to gain some degree of enlightenment here. Does this sound like a hardware issue? I am running a Ubuntu machine (11.10) with 70G of memory, and I am able to run this on 1 of 16 threads (Intel Xeon CPU [email protected]).

What version of BWA are you using?
    Did you compile it?
Is your index created with the same version of BWA?
You've got a 70GB machine, how much memory is actually available?
What is the command line you're using?
    Is your input good?
How soon into the program does it overflow? Any output before the crash?

      1.) Version: 0.5.9-r16
      2.) Yes
      3.) Yes
4.) see image showing bwa start and crash (I'll have to upload this later)
      5.) bwa sampe <ref.fasta> <46sa1.sai> <46sa2.sai> <46sa1.fastq> <46sa2.fastq> > 46sa.sam
      6.) not sure. .sai files were created with bwa aln -B 12 -t 10 <index.fa> <file1.fastq>
The fastq files and reference have been used in CLC Bio.
7.) It crashs after 30 seconds.

Greetings all, I'm guessing that nobody else has encountered this error. Can anyone help me trouble shoot it? What is a buffer overflow, and what can I do to get bwa working?

Multiomic Liquid Biopsy: What DNA/RNA Panels Reveal That DNA Alone Can’t
          by SEQadmin2

Tumors contain complex mixtures of cell populations that evolve in response to treatment and host-specific factors. Tissue biopsies provide only static snapshots of a tumor’s state. But what if we could follow that evolution over time using a minimally invasive technique?

Liquid biopsies can detect tumor-derived material circulating in the bloodstream, providing a way to study treatment response, detect emerging resistance, and discover new biomarkers. Circulating

New Genomics Technologies Take Aim at Long-Standing Limits
          by SEQadmin2

Researchers using sequencing and genomics tools often have to make trade-offs. They can choose between speed or scale, short reads or long-range information, or targeted panels or a view of the whole transcriptome. New technologies that have been released this year are built to address those tough choices.

We asked six companies the same four questions to learn about their latest products. The new technologies bring a lot to the table, including rethinking sequencing
