  • server configuration

    Hi all,
    we are evaluating offers for a server mainly used for DNA/RNA/ChIP seq.
    here's the server conf:

    do you think is a good server to start with? any suggestions?

    This config (is that 256GB RAM?) should be fully adequate.

    I would not recommend RAID1 on the internal drives though if this is something critical (unless you have a good data backup solution in place). Go for something better like RAID5 (which would require at least one more disk). I hope that is what you are planning for the external chassis as well.
