    BWA, BowTie Database

    I am experimenting with BowTie vs BWA. Now, I have to do experiments for various length reads. So, I am trying to find 180, 200, 240 bp read length databases. Can anybody help me where and how I can get those databases. I have tried to find here. However, unable to find. Can anybody help me on this ? Thanks in advance.

    Why not simulate reads? For example DWGSIM.

      Sorry, I have very few idea about above. What that DWGSIM or simulate reads does ? Does BWA, BowTie accepts that ? It's a simple school project and I have very few idea on this. I have to give just comparison results .

        DWGSIM generates simulated read data. You can define how long the reads should be and this data can be then mapped using BWA or BOWTIE. Read the documentation, its easy to use.
