    what is alignment and indel mean?

    hi
    in some paper about paired-end-read,refer "realignment" and "indel",but can't unstand,who can explain for me,thanks a lot!

      Welcome to this sequencing world. It seems you are really 'new' in this area. So instead of asking many basic questions here in the forum, maybe you could go to a trainning session in BGI Shenzhen, http://www.genomics.cn/navigation/sh...ation?nid=1513
      this can give you a classroom with peers and the teachers are very good, and most important of all, you can ask as many questions as you like.

      Otherwise you can of cause learn by yourself via papers, reviews, and asking quick questions, etc., but it's hard to get a full picture, and maybe 10 times slower.
