edgeR - Unused argument verbose=TRUE

Hi,

I am running this command:
> y <- estimateGLMCommonDisp(y, design, verbose=TRUE)

And get an error saying:
Unused argument (verbose = TRUE)


Whats the reason for that?

The reason is that this function doesn't have an argument called 'verbose', in the version of edgeR that you are using. Looking at the help page for the function would tell you this.

This feature was introduced for this function in edgeR version 2.6.2. It would seem that you might perhaps be reading documentation for 2.6.2 or later, but using 2.6.1 or earlier.
