We're working on a project based around a distributed supercomputer made entirely of web workers (essentially recycling computing power through websites), and are trying to find useful algorithms to run on it.
We use MapReduce with the Map phase in Javascript and the reduce phase in any language (more often than not python), but have so far focused mostly on purely mathematical or conceptual problems (details: crowdprocess).
Does anyone have advice on what real world problems we could solve with this?
