    Hi!

I know this is a bit off topic, but does anyone know how to convert to a log-odds motif file for MAST?

I have a motif in the following format:
    Code:
    motif YTCAGCACCRHGGASAGNKMY
    acgt 0.051429 0.051429 0.011429 0.885714
    acgt 0.000000 0.005714 0.000000 0.994286
    acgt 0.000000 0.994286 0.000000 0.005714
    acgt 1.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000
    acgt 0.000000 0.000000 1.000000 0.000000
    acgt 0.005714 0.954286 0.011429 0.028571
    acgt 0.977143 0.000000 0.005714 0.017143
    acgt 0.000000 1.000000 0.000000 0.000000
    acgt 0.005714 0.982857 0.005714 0.005714
    acgt 0.777143 0.017143 0.165714 0.040000
    acgt 0.337143 0.462857 0.097143 0.102857
    acgt 0.000000 0.000000 1.000000 0.000000
    acgt 0.011429 0.000000 0.988571 0.000000
    acgt 0.931429 0.034286 0.017143 0.017143
    acgt 0.022857 0.702857 0.257143 0.017143
    acgt 0.994286 0.005714 0.000000 0.000000
    acgt 0.005714 0.000000 0.994286 0.000000
    acgt 0.114286 0.588571 0.142857 0.154286
    acgt 0.057143 0.005714 0.822857 0.114286
    acgt 0.062857 0.874286 0.034286 0.028571
    acgt 0.062857 0.777143 0.028571 0.131429
And I'm trying to convert to a format compatible with MAST to look for occurances of this motif. That format should be :

    Code:
    ALPHABET= alphabet
                  log-odds matrix: alength= alength w= w
                  row_1
                  row_2
                  ...
                  row_w
    Any help much appreciated!

    Current Approaches to Protein Sequencing
    by seqadmin

Proteins are often described as the workhorses of the cell, and identifying their sequences is key to understanding their role in biological processes and disease. Currently, the most common technique used to determine protein sequences is mass spectrometry. While still a valuable tool, mass spectrometry faces several limitations and requires a highly experienced scientist familiar with the equipment to operate it. Additionally, other proteomic methods, like affinity assays, are constrained...

    Strategies for Sequencing Challenging Samples
    by seqadmin

Despite advancements in sequencing platforms and related sample preparation technologies, certain sample types continue to present significant challenges that can compromise sequencing results. Pedro Echave, Senior Manager of the Global Business Segment at Revvity, explained that the success of a sequencing experiment ultimately depends on the amount and integrity of the nucleic acid template (RNA or DNA) obtained from a sample. “The better the quality of the nucleic acid isolated...
